It's almost Margarita time. That's right. Let's fire up the grill, bring out the enchiladas, and whip up some guacemole. I'm ready! lol You see, now that Thanksgiving is upon us, I've started thinking about family traditions and what people consider to be the "traditional" Thanksgiving meal. I think most people would consider that to be Turkey with stuffing, mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, corn, rolls and cranberry sauce that's shaped like a can. I know. I know. There are better options for cranberry sauce but, to me it has to look like that or it's just not right for some reason.lol Then there are the desserts. Yikes. Don't get me started there.lol There are always too many to choose from. My dad's side of the family has that meal every year and I always look forward to it. My mom's side of the family, however, does it just a little bit differently though. We have 2 meals. There might be a basic turkey dinner just for the sake of doing it but, it takes a back burner to what everyone really wants and that is, mexican food. I'm not sure how it started but, it's just expected now. I was wondering if anyone else has some interesting and unusual Thanksgiving traditions they would like to talk about.

just wanted to give you some kudos, hey
Sorry, but you're not preachin' to the choir here as I dislike holidays. I dislike any time I'm TOLD "you WILL do THIS because, well, it's tradition and it's on the calendar". I'm fixing a wee thanksgiving tonight for when Joe comes home and we'll be having leftovers tomorrow while the world gathers and women everywhere are tossing back xanax to get them through the "perfect" turkey ritual.
Hey, give me an enchilada and a margarita please.
I think I like the idea of doing it the night before alot. You get to sleep in the next day then. :o)
Have fun tonight. Cheers!
